The airborne segment has grown significantly as the emphasis on UAVs goes up. The sensor-carrying UAVs are being equipped with transmitters that use the Ku Common Data Link (CDL) frequency band (14.5-15.4 GHz). Many of these UAV programs need very efficient, lightweight amplifiers for the data links, and are extremely tight in their weight budgets.
