SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 19, 1999 -- Xicom Technology, the technology leader of SATCOM Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) and Klystron Power Amplifiers (KPAs), today announced that Colin Bolton has been appointed as President of the recently formed Xicom Technology Europe, LTD located in Berkshire, UK.

With 20 years of SATCOM industry experience, Mr. Bolton brings a wealth of knowledge and a successful track record in strategic product sales and marketing. "Colin will expand Xicom's presence in Europe and bring our strategic plans to realization in existing and evolving markets," said Kevin Kirkpatrick, Director of Marketing at Xicom Technology, Inc. "Colin will help us build on the initial marketplace awareness of Xicom's family of TWTAs and KPAs and help us to innovate and dominate new markets as well."

Before coming to Xicom Technology, Mr. Bolton worked at Communications and Power Industries (CPI) as UK Country Sales Manager for ten years and was instrumental in developing CPI's UK and Eastern Europe business. His responsibilities included developing product strategy and marketing for the Radar, Communications and Broadcast markets while leading efforts to provide solutions for the SATCOM market.

Prior to his tenure at CPI, Mr. Bolton was the International Product Manager at EMI Varian. Mr. Bolton spent seven years as a member of EMI Varian's marketing department developing the international sales and marketing for UHF-TV klystron products.

Mr. Bolton holds undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas from Thames Valley University in the study of Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, and Marketing.
