XICOM TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCES NEW SUITE OF X-BAND AND KA-BAND PRODUCTS FOR WGS SATELLITE SYSTEM

FEBRUARY 26, 2008, SANTA CLARA, CALIF. - - - Xicom Technology, a technology leader of high power amplifier products for satellite communication (SATCOM) announced the expansion of its X-band and Ka-Band uplink amplifier line for the new Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Satellite constellation. Deploying this year, the WGS system offers significantly higher data rate capability as compared to the DSCS III Satellite, and offers additional X-band capacity and new dedicated Milcom Ka-band capacity.

Xicom will be introducing 11 new amplifiers at the Satellite 2008 Conference in Washington D.C., including X-band and Ka-band TWTA's and SSPA's in indoor and outdoor packages. New products will be on display in Xicom's booth # 437 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from February 26th -28th.

According to Walt Wood, CEO of Xicom Technology, "This new, expanded suite of products gives customers the world's largest selection of amplifiers for WGS applications, and further demonstrates our commitment to offering the cutting-edge products for Milcom applications.

Xicom product offering covers power levels from 35W to 2500W in X-band, and 10W to 500W in Ka-band. Xicom HPA's include full monitor and control via serial port connection, 25 dB of gain control, internal filtering, and cooling. Available options include integral L-band input BUCs, Ethernet based monitor and control connections, power detection, and AC-to-DC power supply.
